This rocky basement wall was permanently sealed with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier System in order to prevent moisture and humidity from passing through.
The home had a wet basement that was solved using a TripleSafe Pump.
The basement had an old locust post made of wood that failed. The owner put up a a temporary support post but it did not effectively carry the weight above. Keystone installed a new SmartJacks with supplemental beam to carry the weight of the two wooden joists above.
This home was in need of an internal waterproofing system. The basement was finished, so the drywall had to be cut. It was restored with EverLast Wall Panels.
Instead of tearing out and totally rebuilding a basement wall that has been ruined by mold and wood rot, our Everlast Wall Restoration System enables the contractor to replace only the lower section of the wall.
Basements walls built from “above-grade” cellulose-rich materials (framing lumber, paper-faced drywall, fiberglass insulation) are often ruined by moisture and mold. The damage is usually confined to the lower section of wood-framed walls, since the materials are absorbing moisture from the floor.
With the EverLast™ System, Keystone Basement Systems removes only the lower section of the damaged wall, replacing it with more durable materials. The wood-framed upper wall can’t absorb floor moisture, so it’s protected from future damage. The new wainscot treatment that replaces the lower wall is built using steel studs, vinyl-faced cement board and PVC molding –materials that won’t attract mold and can’t be damaged by mold or moisture.
This wall was pushed straight and subsequently reinforced with PowerBrace to permanently stabilize.
