Job Stories From West Newton, PA
Mold in West Newton, Pa.

This homeowner had seen Keystone Basement Systems at the Mon Valley Homeshow  and was in need of their help with some water damage and mold they had. Keystone sent out a field inspector to go over the issue and then due a in depth inspection of the problem area. Upon completion of his inspection he then sat down again with the homeowner and explained what was going on to cause this and what he came up with to fix this issue. The plan of action that the field inspector had come up with was to install a french drain system, a sump pump and also to encapsulate the walls with CleanSpace. The CleanSpace would eliminate the mold and mildew and provide for a healthy environment again.

Jomax to wash away the mold

This homeowner called in because her basement had moisture that led to mold, and she was worried about her health. Keystone Basement Systems sent out one of the best field inspectors around to discuss this issue with her before conducting his professional inspection of the problem area. During his inspection he wore protective gear and conducted all the proper tests that was required to make a accurate plan. The plan was to treat the walls with JoMax, which is used to ensure that the mold is killed. A PumpSpy sump with internal french drains were installed as well. The French drain was complete with one cleanout.

Internal French drain

This homeowner called into Keystone Basement Systems after being referred by a friend, he was having some water issues in his basement. Keystone Basement Systems quickly made him an appointment for the following day which already made the homeowner extremely happy and feeling like he made the right choice to call them. Keystone's field inspector met with the homeowner upon arrival and then completed a detailed inspection of the problem area. The field inspector came up with a fantastic plan in which he sat down with the homeowner and went over with him. After their discussion he was once again reassured that he made the right choice to call them. The plan in which the field inspector came up with included a internal french drain with a speedy drain, and a singular cleanout along with  a PumpSpy sump pump. The plan also included a discharge line to ensure that the water was being puled away from the house. He also needed to have some new downspouts installed and a extension to one side of the existing downspout on the one side of the house.
