Job Stories From Beaver County, PA
Basement Waterproofing in Beaver Falls, PA

The client we visited had moderate basement flooding and wanted to have the issue solved once and for all.  The owner had 2 prior attempts at solving the issue that did not work.  The first was an attempt by himself and the second was from a contractor that quickly went out of business.  After that bad experience the owner wanted to deal with a true professional company known as the "Best in the Area".  With almost 1000 Google Reviews at 4.8 Stars he called Keystone Basement Systems.

After performing a comprehensive free inspection of the foundation we were able to design a specific repair plan that exactly fit the clients needs.  He was very impressed and we were happy to help.

The client was so happy he reviewed us.

Waterproofing a Rochester, PA home

This Rochester, PA resident was tired of dealing with water in his basement every time it rained.  Water would seep in through the leaky window, and there wasn’t a proper waterproofing system to carry the water to the sump pump.  There were also large cracks in the foundation walls because they had begun to bow slightly.  Water would come in through the cracks in the walls, and the basement always seemed to be wet.  The resident wanted to get the problem solved so he could use his unfinished basement for storage.

Keystone Basement Systems fixed his wet basement problems by installing WaterGuard and a TripleSafe sump pump.

I Beams in Beaver

The homeowner called in due to some sagging he had in his floors. He also states that his "floor felt slanted" Keystone Basement Systems field inspector discovered the sagging was a result of some prior water damage that had happened due to a bathtub leak that the homeowner was unaware of for awhile. While he had already had the bathtub problem taken care of they were not able to help with the sagging floors as it was not a job they could professionally handle, so they recommended that he call us. The field inspector has come up with the plan to install 5 I Beams all being 9 foot in length. Upon completion of this project the homeowner was very happy with Keystone Basement Systems and left them a 5 star review as well as referring us to his friend who also had a similar problem.

French Drain in Aliquippa

This homeowner got a referral from a friend to call upon Keystone Basement Systems to help her with her wet basement. They promptly sent out one of their best field inspectors to sit down with her and discuss the issue before performing his detailed evaluation of the problem area. The field inspector performed his inspection using all the proper tools and measurements to ensure he come up with the best plan to work for this home. The plan involved a interior french drain system with a singular service port, or aka cleanout. It also involved a downspout extension and a new buried discharge line. This was a fantastic plan that worked great, making not only the house dry again but the homeowner very pleased!!

Excavation needed in Ambridge

This homeowner went on Home Advisor and found Keystone Basement Systems, calling them right away. They promptly scheduled her an appointment to go out and look at her wet basement. Once the field inspector arrived they sat and talked about the issue, before performing his very detailed inspection of the problem area. Upon the start of the inspection he quickly noticed some water pooling in the corner of the basement, and that the homeowner had a dehumidifier running non stop. He then proceeded to the outside where he noticed a crack that needed to be filled and that this home needed both interior drainage but also exterior drainage. The exterior drainage system was going to require excavating 35 feet around the house.

Carbon fiber straps

This homeowner met with Keystone Basement Systems for the first time at the Pittsburgh home show. Keystone sent out one of their best field inspectors to meet with him at his house to talk and look at the problem area, this is done to ensure the plan that he comes up with is one that's going to work in all ways, making the house structurally sound again and pleasing the homeowner.  Upon completion of their conversation he jumped right to work doing all the right test and taking very accurate measurements. The inspection was complete, and he spoke to the homeowner again letting him know what the plan was, and what would happen if the project didn't take place, and answering all of his questions. The plan consisted of Rhino carbon fiber straps along with a 5 year inspection plan to ensure the straps were still working properly and hadn't moved. The plan also involved point cracking the cracks that were discovered at the time of the inspection.  This was done to not only fill the cracks so that water didn't get in but also to help with the look of the wall as the homeowner was going to one day finish the basement and he stated "he liked the concrete look, just not all cracked".

UltraPump back up in Monaca

This homeowner called Keystone Basement Systems because they were an existing customer of theirs and they needed their help again. Recently their house was going through some issues where the power would go out all the time, this was due to the fact that the tree line by their house had been cut back making it more suspectable to winds. Keystone knew they had to send out Ken to install a UltraPump sump pump back up battery.  The UltraSump® Battery Backup System to ensure continued protection no matter what happens. In the event of loss of power the battery backup will automatically kick in and begin removing water from your basement, preventing a flood. The UltraSump® system can pump out in excess of 11,500 gallons of water on a fully charged battery, which is enough water to fill a small swimming pool! The plan that Keystone put in play here to install this back up has been a fantastic plan because the pump has yet to go down, power or not!! The homeowner was very pleased with everything and especially Kens attitude and workmanship.

PumpSpy sump pump station in Baden

This homeowner called into Keystone Basement Systems due to the fact that they had just bought the house and it had water in the basement. Keystone promptly sent out a field inspector to sit and talk with them before conducting a in-depth inspection of the problem area. Upon his inspection he had noticed that there were cracks in the walls and that the water was seeping in through them. He started to figure out the plan, and it was going to have to be a fantastic one to get this house dry again! Once he did all his very accurate measurements and performed the rest of his evaluation he came up with a sure fire plan. The plan not only included some new downspouts but also a buried discharge line and a interior french drain with one service port. The plan also included a PumpSpy pump station, which has two pumps in it! He also knew he had to apply point cracking to fill the cracks in the walls.  Lastly the plan included some Poly vinyl for the walls, ensuring that they wouldn't be seeping water in through them again.

99 Foot long Internal French Drain

This homeowner called upon Keystone Basement Systems to help with their basement which was taking in about a 1/2 inch of water after heavy rain. Keystone promptly scheduled him for an appointment with one of their best field inspectors, Brian, to go over everything and have a sit-down meeting with the homeowner to better grasp his thoughts and questions about this situation. The homeowner expressed concerns about the items being stored in the basement potentially getting ruined and about the health issues he had been experiencing since this problem started. The field inspector knew right then and there he had to come up with a fantastic plan to get this house dry as soon as possible. The field inspector then proceeded downstairs to perform his very detailed inspection, this was done by performing all the necessary moisture tests and taking very accurate measurements of the area, there was also the issue of conducting crack monitoring, which would be taking place over the next year. The monitor is put into place and left there to measure the movements in the wall. The field inspector had come up with a great plan that he knew was going to work and sat the homeowner down to go over all of it, making sure he understood everything and was comfortable. The plan involved installing a 99-foot-long internal french drain with a service port or cleanout. The plan also involved a anti-microbial spray to help with any molding that was taking place.  The homeowner was thrilled with this plan and they moved on quickly to get it finished.

Help my house is shifting!

This homeowner is a pilot and came home one day after a long trip to find his wife very worried about their home. She explained to him that she thought the house was shifting and that the wall in the basement has a huge crack in it, this too made him now worry and so they got onto Angi and found Keystone Basement Systems. Keystone then scheduled them right away for an appointment with one of their best field inspectors. Keystone's field inspector promptly showed up for his scheduled time and got right down to business by having a conversation about the problem are with the homeowners before moving on to conducting his inspection of the issue at hand. The field inspector could hear the concern in the homeowner's voice as she explained the issue, so he knew right then and there that this plan had to be a very detailed plan. The inspection was conducted by taking pictures as well as all the proper testing and tasks that needed to be done. The plan was to install 4 power braces as well as 2 new I beams. The plan was to also include some CarbonArmor carbon fiber straps and some point cracking for the cracks. The plan was made to fit this specific home as no to issues are ever the exact same. The field inspector then went over the plan with the homeowner and found that were both thrilled and excited to get this done right away. The field inspector then returned to the office and scheduled this out for installation. Upon the finalization of the installation the homeowner was very happy, and even left Keystone a great review.

Buried Downspout Lines

At Keystone Basement Systems, we recently had the privilege of assisting a homeowner in Freeport, PA, with a particularly challenging basement waterproofing situation. The homeowner reached out to us experiencing issues with their downspout buried rain conductors, which had broken over time. This was a critical issue as it prevented water from being efficiently discharged away from their home, potentially leading to water damage in their basement. Upon contact, our dedicated Customer Care team quickly set up an in-home inspection. Our System Design Specialist meticulously assessed the situation, diagnosing the root cause of the problem—the inefficient discharge of water due to the faulty downspout system. To tackle this, we knew our TripleSafe Sump Pump system would be the perfect solution. Not only does it provide reliable water evacuation, but coupled with the proper replacement of the downspout rain conductors, it would ensure the homeowner's basement remains dry and protected. The installation by one of our skilled production teams was smooth sailing. They handled the installation of the TripleSafe Sump Pump and the meticulous replacement of the broken rain conductors with careful attention to detail. Ensuring a clean and efficient workspace, our team overcame the challenges and wrapped up the project with the area neater than when they started. Thanks to our intervention, water from the newly installed TripleSafe system now effectively discharges to the street, as it should. The homeowner in Freeport now enjoys a dry, worry-free basement, secure in the knowledge that their basement waterproofing system is up to par with the highest standards. It's another great example of how we, at Keystone Basement Systems, commit to providing remarkable customer experiences and long-lasting solutions to homeowners' foundational problems.
