I am a geologist who studied hydrology so I had have a good idea how hydrostatic pressure and whatnot works. Found I had a small leak in my basement which a wall is against a hill entirely so I shopped around for basement work. A couple other companies tried to sell me an entire circumference inner and outer French drain for more than 16k. These guys came in and gave me their evaluation to just 52 feet inteiror drain as all I would need given both the precipitation in my area and location (I live at the top of a hill) along with how my property slopes... when I told them I was quoted by two other companies for an entire inner and outer drain, they did offer it to me with the cavat I would be doing overkill. Can't say many companies don't try to get you to spend more! Needless to say, I went with these guys. Their assessment was similar to mine and a personal engineering friend's and they did not try to oversell me with aluminum siding on brick walls!
